The Cranesbill (Geranium)

The cranesbill (Geranium) is one of the most beautiful ground covers. This package includes varieties chosen for their stunning blue-toned flowers, which captivate any viewer. Blue creates a sense of space, making small gardens appear larger and adding a romantic touch when paired with roses.

The cranesbills in this selection also complement showy perennials like peonies or bearded iris, as well as natural plantings with lady’s mantle, avens, and bellflowers. They thrive equally well in light shade and sun, requiring moderately nutrient-rich and well-drained soil. An important note: cranesbills are rarely bothered by snails!

For this package, plan for an area of around 3 m². Alternatively, you can distribute the cranesbills individually or in small groups in suitable spots throughout the garden. Detailed planting distances and care instructions can be found in the included info sheet. If the foliage becomes unsightly, all listed Geranium species can be cut back entirely, and they will quickly regrow.

The package contains a total of 15 cranesbills. Please leave at least 30 cm between each plant.
